Effective October 15, 2026 · Extension version 1.1.0

The publisher does not collect, sell, or receive your extension data. Processing takes place in your browser or on your device.

01 / Purpose

What this extension does

Enlarges image thumbnails and previews full-resolution images, galleries, and videos on mouseover across websites.

This policy applies to the Imagus Manifest V3 extension distributed by the Modulus Tools publisher.

02 / Data handling

Information used by the extension

Imagus reads image and link URLs, media captions, and image dimensions from the pages where you use hover previews. Media is displayed in your browser. Page information is not sent to the publisher.

The extension has no publisher-operated account system, advertising tracker, analytics SDK, or remote analytics endpoint. We do not use extension data to profile you or sell it to advertisers.

03 / Local storage

What stays on your device

Hover delay, keyboard preferences, custom Sieve rules, and per-domain allow/block settings are saved using chrome.storage.local. Media you explicitly download is saved to your device.

How long it is kept

Preferences remain until you change them or remove the extension. Downloaded media remains in your chosen download location until you delete it.

04 / Permissions

Access, with a purpose

Browser permissions support the extension’s stated features. Here is why each declared permission is needed.

storage
Locally stores hover delay, activation keys, custom Sieve rules, and per-domain Grants.
downloads
Saves full-resolution media when you use the save shortcut.
contextMenus
Provides access to the Sieves and Grants configuration page.
Host access — all websites
Allows hover previews and media resolution on websites where you use the extension.
05 / Third parties

Network requests and data sharing

Previewing or downloading an image or video can make a browser request to the original website or media host. Those hosts receive normal request information, such as your IP address, according to browser rules and their own privacy policies. There is no publisher-operated data collection service.

We do not sell or share extension user data with advertising, data brokerage, or analytics providers. Extension data is used only for the disclosed features, in accordance with the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements.

06 / Your choices

You are in control

You can change available preferences through the extension’s popup or options page and manage site access in Chrome’s extension settings. Removing the extension removes its extension storage; files you downloaded, bookmarks you created, and your system clipboard are managed separately by you and your browser or operating system.

Local extension storage is not a secure vault. Avoid copying or retaining sensitive information on a shared device. If this policy changes, we will update the effective date on this page and disclose material changes to data practices as required.

07 / Contact

Questions about your privacy?

Contact Modulus Tools at support@modulustools.com. If you email us, we receive the information you choose to include so we can respond. This correspondence is separate from the extension’s local data processing. Do not send passwords, private recordings, or sensitive browsing content.
